What do you love about training with Field of Fitness?
There is always a warm, friendly welcome from the whole team. Claire is totally committed to her work and her individual and personal attention is tailored to my specific needs. The size and layout of the gym guarantees space and, to some extent a degree of privacy. The ladies changing facilities are spotless!
What do you think has been your greatest achievement whilst training?
Having experienced problems with my sacroiliac joint and a slipped disc, the slightest exertion caused me considerable discomfort. But now with improved core strength and with my back muscles being more supple, this enables me to do things which had previously been painful.
What’s your favourite exercise?
With practice I have been able to master the use of the foam roller which has been beneficial. But my favourite exercises (and possibly the most challenging) is the BOSU balance trainer. I’m determined to master it sooner rather than later!
What do you want to achieve at Field of Fitness in the next 3 months?
To increase my fitness levels, i.e. to reach the top of St Martha’s Hill without puffing and panting! And that’s just when I’m walking – not running! To enjoy all aspects of gardening in the spring, even if it means bending and crouching.
How has training at Field of Fitness effected you personally?
I am more aware of the way my body works, and I’m developing a greater feeling of wellbeing.
